Parisian street cleaners use rolled-up rugs to channel water from curb embedded spigots into the streets . In street photography the photographer meanders through the streets to cast about for an image in the everyday stream of events. Making a picture blocks the stream of events. This group of photographs is a meditation on the act of making photos in the city streets and the things that settle on the periphery of the frame...or by the curb.
